About Everybuddy Games
Everybuddy Games is a Tel Aviv-based mobile game development studio established in 2020 by a team of serial entrepreneurs including Adi Dagan (CEO), Yair Panet, Danny Frishman, Boaz Cohen, Eyal Katz, and Shay Molho. The company operates in the casual mobile gaming market, targeting a global audience with players concentrated in the USA, UK, Germany, France, and Canada. Its business model is B2C, generating revenue through in-app purchases within its free-to-play games available on both Android and iOS platforms.

The studio's flagship product is "Lucky Buddies," a casual game that integrates a hero-collection mechanic with a slot machine-style core loop. Players spin a slot machine to earn coins and other rewards, which are then used to battle enemies, build and nurture a team of unique 'Buddies,' and conquer territories. The game aims to blend a fast-paced casual experience with deeper RPG and social layers, which has been noted as a key factor in attracting new players to the genre. By November 2022, Lucky Buddies had attracted hundreds of thousands of players since its launch earlier that year.
The company demonstrated early traction, securing a significant $15 million Series A funding round in November 2022. This investment was led by Makers Fund with participation from Key1 Capital and angel investor Gigi Levy Weiss, and was intended to scale Lucky Buddies and expand the team. However, the firm faced subsequent challenges, including a failure to raise additional funding. In February 2024, Everybuddy Games entered bankruptcy proceedings after accumulating approximately $4.1 million in debt, leading to the appointment of a trustee by the Tel Aviv District Court to explore the sale of the company or its assets. At that time, the company's workforce had been significantly reduced from a peak of 70 to just seven employees.
