The story begins in 1979, not in a garage, but with a Taylor Rental franchise in Parma, Ohio, purchased by the Bibbo family. Initially, their inventory was a mix of everything from power tools to party supplies. The first major pivot came in 1992 when the family recognized a more focused opportunity and shifted primarily to event rentals. This focus led to a significant strategic move in 1997: a complete rebranding to Event Source. They divested the tool and equipment side of the business to double down on providing high-quality rental products for events. Run by the second generation of the Bibbo family, including brothers John, Bryan, and Kevin, the company began a steady expansion. A key turning point was the 2017 acquisition of Panache Party Rental, which took the company's established Midwest operations into the Florida market. This was followed by the acquisition of So Cool Events in 2022, further solidifying their market presence. From a single franchise to a multi-state operation, Event Source grew not through venture capital, but through generational leadership and strategic acquisitions.
