Epic Markets
Multi-asset brokerage platform for retail traders.
About Epic Markets
Epic Markets is a new online brokerage developed by former senior managers from Citadel Securities, Kevin Kimmel and Bryan Seegers. The company, which is preparing for launch, aims to provide a multi-asset brokerage platform that brings institutional-grade execution standards to retail traders. Ahead of its planned debut later in 2026, Epic Markets has secured $10 million in a pre-seed funding round from Karatage, a London-based venture capital firm.
The founding team possesses extensive experience in electronic foreign exchange (eFX) and financial markets. Kevin Kimmel, the CEO, previously served as the Global Head of eFX at Citadel for over a decade and held senior positions at JP Morgan, YellowJacket (acquired by ICE), and TradeWeb. Bryan Seegers, the Chief Commercial Officer, was the Director of FX Business Development at Citadel and has a background in eFX trading and liquidity management at firms like Jefferies, ADSS, Alpari, and MultiBank. Their combined expertise from high-level roles at a major market maker like Citadel Securities provides the venture with significant industry credibility.
Epic Markets plans to operate with a presence in both the United States and the United Arab Emirates, with regulatory license applications currently underway. The platform is expected to offer trading in various assets, including Contracts for Difference (CFDs). The business model focuses on delivering elite execution performance, a standard typically reserved for institutional clients, to the broader retail trading market. By leveraging the founders' deep Wall Street credentials and industry connections, Epic Markets aims to establish a strong position in the competitive online brokerage sector.
