Envetec
On-site, non-thermal biohazardous waste treatment for recycling
About Envetec
Envetec develops GENERATIONS, an on-site system that treats biohazardous and regulated medical waste where it is produced. The machine shreds and disinfects waste in a single non-thermal cycle using a biodegradable chemical that breaks down into acetic acid and water, turning lab plastics, glass, PPE and sharps containers into a safe polymer flake that can be recycled instead of being autoclaved, incinerated or landfilled.
The system serves hospital and diagnostic laboratories, pharmaceutical and life sciences sites, agri-food testing labs and water utilities. Customers and partners include Northwell Health, Scottish Water, Dairygold and waste firm Enva, and the technology is approved for on-site medical waste treatment in New York, Texas, Massachusetts, California and North Carolina.
Envetec builds and supplies the GENERATIONS units, which log operating data for remote diagnostics and carbon reporting, helping customers cut waste-related emissions, road haulage and water use.
