Entri, a mobile application, was founded in 2015 by Mohammed Hisamuddin and Rahul Ramesh in Kochi, India. Hisamuddin, prior to Entri, co-founded SMSGYAN, a company that provided a text-message-based search engine. Ramesh, on the other hand, established the Kochi Python Developers group, showcasing his background in technology and community building.

The company provides a platform for skill development and exam preparation for government jobs, with a focus on delivering content in local Indian languages. This approach caters to a segment of the population that may be underserved by English-language-centric platforms.

Entri's business model is centered around a subscription-based service. Users can download the app for free and access a limited amount of content, with the option to purchase a "Gold" subscription for full access to all materials. The platform offers a variety of learning resources, including video classes, mock exams, and flashcards, all designed to help users prepare for competitive examinations and upskill for private-sector jobs.

In 2022, the company secured $7 million in a Series A funding round, which has been instrumental in its expansion and content development efforts. This funding has enabled Entri to broaden its course offerings and reach a larger user base across India.
