Its lead product candidate is Ebrasodebart (Ent001), a monoclonal antibody that targets the TMEM219 receptor. By binding to this receptor, Ent001 is designed to prevent the cell death that underlies both IBD and T1D. This approach is distinct because it aims to restore the body's own cell compartments—the intestinal structure in IBD and the pancreatic beta cells in T1D. In March 2023, Enthera initiated a Phase 1 clinical trial for Ent001 in healthy volunteers, marking its transition to a clinical-stage company. The company has since completed the single ascending dose portion of the trial and has initiated a Phase 1b trial in patients with ulcerative colitis.
