Encosa Energy (encosa) is a Munich-based battery energy storage company founded in June 2024 by Sascha Koberstaedt (CEO) and Sebastian Becker (COO) that delivers end-to-end battery storage for German commercial and industrial Mittelstand customers. It plans, finances, installs and operates behind-the-meter systems that cut energy costs through peak shaving and self-consumption optimisation while also enabling front-of-the-meter trading and arbitrage, with buy, rent or lease options so customers can start saving without owning complex infrastructure. After a pre-seed led by First Momentum Ventures and Redstone with Heliad, UTUM Funding for Innovators and WEPA Ventures, encosa closed a €25 million Seed round in June 2026 led by Realyze Ventures, with Verve Ventures, Bayern Kapital, Blum Ventures, Kopa Ventures and returning pre-seed investors, plus a scalable debt facility.
