EMake
An Internet solution provider for the make-to-order manufacturing market
About EMake
The story begins in the early 1970s in Italy’s Po Valley, a hub for industrial innovation. In 1972, Ariello Bartoli established Oleo-Mac, a company that quickly gained recognition for producing chainsaws on an industrial scale. Six years later, in 1978, Giacomo Ferretti founded Efco, which became a leading manufacturer of brushcutters, a product already in high demand. For two decades, these companies operated independently. The landscape changed in 1992 when the leadership of Oleo-Mac and Efco decided to combine their manufacturing and managerial strengths. This strategic decision led to the creation of a single new entity: Emak. The merger was designed to enhance the new company's competitiveness in the growing global market for gardening and forestry equipment. A pivotal moment in Emak's journey occurred in 1998 when the company went public, listing its shares on the Milan Stock Exchange. This initial public offering provided the capital for significant international expansion. The following year, Emak began acquiring its distributors across key European markets, establishing a direct presence and solidifying its global footprint. Today, the Emak Group operates across multiple business areas, including outdoor power equipment, high-pressure water jetting, and related components.
