About Elitecore Technologies

Elitecore Technologies, established in 1999 and headquartered in Ahmedabad, India, was a global provider of software products and solutions for the telecommunications industry. The company was founded by software technocrats, including Nikhil Jain, who served as CEO and was instrumental in shaping the company's growth and strategic direction. His vision guided the development of key product lines and the company's expansion into international markets.

The company specialized in IP-based technologies, focusing on Operations Support Systems (OSS) and Business Support Systems (BSS) for telecom operators. Its client base consisted of Communications Service Providers (CSPs) across the globe, with a significant presence in South East Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Latin America. Elitecore's business model was product-centric, generating revenue through the sale of its software solutions designed to help telecom operators manage their networks, bill their customers, and monetize their services. Before its acquisition, the company had established a customer base with over 150 deployments for 52 CSPs in 40 countries.

Elitecore's product portfolio included a comprehensive suite of solutions for billing and revenue management, a Wi-Fi Service Management Platform (SMP), and a pre-integrated BSS platform ready for LTE networks. These offerings enabled telecom operators to launch new services quickly, manage both prepaid and postpaid services, and support data and VOIP services. A key achievement for the company was its acquisition by Sterlite Technologies (now STL) in September 2015 for an enterprise value of approximately Rs 180 crore. This acquisition was a strategic move for Sterlite to expand its telecom portfolio beyond optical products into software solutions, and upon completion, Elitecore was merged into Sterlite Technologies.
