Ekkaa Electronics Industries Private Limited, established in 2018, is a significant player in India's Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector. The company was founded in Sonipat, Haryana, by Sagar Gupta and his father, C.P. Gupta. The founding was inspired by the Indian government's 'Make in India' initiative, transitioning the family from a 30-year electronics component distribution business into manufacturing. Sagar Gupta, the Managing Director, leveraged his commerce and finance education to steer the company's strategic growth, while C.P. Gupta brought decades of industry experience.

Ekkaa operates as an Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) and contract manufacturer, providing end-to-end solutions for other brands. This business model encompasses design, research and development, component sourcing, manufacturing, quality assurance, and after-sales support. The firm primarily serves electronics brands and OEMs by enabling them to outsource their production, thereby reducing time to market and capital expenditure. Revenue is generated through this B2B and B2B2C model, focusing on the physical commerce of the manufactured goods. The company has positioned itself as a key ODM for LED TVs in India, producing for over 100 brands.

The product portfolio is centered around consumer electronics. Initially focused on LED televisions from 24" to 40", including smart and 4K models, Ekkaa has expanded its offerings. The company now produces washing machines, multimedia speakers, induction cooktops, air coolers, and is diversifying into True Wireless Stereo (TWS) devices and smartwatches. A key operational feature is its vertically integrated manufacturing process, which provides control over design and components, a crucial advantage during global supply chain disruptions. Operating from facilities in Sonipat and Noida, with a new plant under development in Gannaur, Haryana, the company is significantly scaling its production capacity. After raising INR 108 crore (approximately $12.2M) in a Series A funding round, the company plans to enhance its R&D capabilities, expand production, and integrate its supply chain further, with an eye towards a potential IPO by 2027.
