The company's business model centers on creating and commercializing non-invasive medical devices for a market that currently relies on pharmaceutical or more invasive therapies. EBT Medical has secured $10 million in a Series A funding round, co-led by SV Health Investors and Genesys Capital, to advance its technology and pursue clinical data for safety and effectiveness. The firm's primary product under development is the NiNA™ (Noninvasive Neuromodulation Assistant) system, designed to treat overactive bladder (OAB). This system utilizes a proprietary and patented approach targeting the Saphenous nerve.
The NiNA™ device is a wearable neurostimulator placed on the patient's upper calf for daily 30-minute sessions. It operates through noninvasive Saphenous Neuromodulation (nSAFN) therapy. The system includes the NiNA Care™ mobile application for both iOS and Android, which connects to the device via Bluetooth. This app allows patients to control their therapy sessions and provides a platform for data collection to support ongoing clinical trials. The entire ecosystem is designed to offer a discreet treatment alternative without the side effects associated with traditional OAB therapies. As a clinical-stage company, the NiNA system is currently in development and has not yet received market authorization for sale.
