Co-founder Matthieu Remy (CEO) has a background in electro-mechanical engineering and an MBA from Harvard, with previous experience at Deloitte Consulting and Bain & Company. Co-founder Corentin Scavée (Head of Wealth Management) has a background in financial management and experience as a hedge fund manager and family office advisor. The company is approved by the Belgian Authority for Financial Services and Markets (FSMA) as a portfolio manager and insurance broker.

Easyvest's business model combines a digital-first platform with human financial advisors. Clients can open an account online, and the platform uses algorithms to create and manage customized portfolios based on the user's risk tolerance, investment horizon, and financial goals. The company's investment philosophy is based on the Modern Portfolio Theory and utilizes low-cost ETFs to build diversified portfolios of stocks and bonds. It offers 10 model portfolios with varying levels of risk. The firm primarily serves the Belgian market, targeting a wide range of clients from new investors to wealthy families and SMEs. Its revenue is generated from management fees, which range from 0.5% to 1% depending on the amount invested.

In addition to individual investment accounts, Easyvest offers solutions for joint accounts, minor child accounts, and corporate investments. A significant focus is on pension planning, offering supplementary pension plans for the self-employed (CIPA) and a multi-employer pension fund launched in 2024 to serve SMEs. This pension fund aims to provide higher long-term returns than traditional group insurance products by investing in ETFs. The company has secured significant funding, including a €13M round in October 2024 from Belfius Insurance and the federal investment company SFPIM to expand its pension solutions. As of July 2024, Easyvest managed over €185 million for 3,000 clients.
