Initiated by High Tech Campus (HTC) Eindhoven, 3EALITY is a strategic innovation hub launched as part of the campus's forward-looking #Campus2030 vision. The concept was announced in October 2023 and became operational in early 2024, establishing itself as the fifth innovation hub at HTC. This initiative is led by the campus management, with High Tech Campus CEO Otto van den Boogaard providing strategic direction and Philipp Werle serving as the Innovation Manager for Emerging Tech, directly responsible for 3EALITY's development and operations. Van den Boogaard, who became CEO in May 2023, brings over 25 years of real estate and asset management experience, guiding the campus's overall growth. Werle's role is central to building the hub's ecosystem, leveraging his position as an emerging technology specialist to forge critical partnerships and drive the hub's mission.

3EALITY operates as a facilitator and ecosystem builder within the spatial computing and digital twin markets. Its core business is to accelerate the adoption of immersive technologies like augmented reality, virtual reality, and the metaverse by creating a collaborative environment. The business model is multifaceted, generating revenue by offering workspace solutions, including coworking desks and private offices, to startups, scale-ups, and established corporations. A significant revenue stream comes from forming strategic partnerships with global technology leaders such as NVIDIA, Epic Games, Dassault Systèmes, and HP, who provide infrastructure, expertise, and solutions. Furthermore, 3EALITY organizes and hosts events, workshops, and seminars, which serve as educational and networking platforms for its community, contributing to its revenue and market presence.

The hub's primary service is providing a curated ecosystem that bridges the gap between hardware-focused companies and software developers. It offers physical and technical infrastructure, including office spaces, labs, and event facilities, located at the heart of the High Tech Campus, providing direct access to over 300 tech companies. For its resident companies and partners, the key benefit is the access to a dense network of potential clients, collaborators, and talent. By bringing together startups like The Gateway (a metaverse experience creator) and established firms, 3EALITY creates a fertile ground for co-innovation, allowing members to showcase solutions, share knowledge, and accelerate their development cycles in a structured, supportive environment.
