About Eagle Hill Exploration

Founded in 2006, Eagle Hill Exploration Corporation operated as a Canadian mineral exploration company with a primary focus on acquiring and developing gold and precious metal properties. The company's business model centered on identifying and advancing projects with the potential for high-grade and large-tonnage mineral deposits.

The flagship asset for Eagle Hill Exploration was the Windfall Lake Project, a high-grade gold deposit located in the Abitibi mineralized belt between Val-d'Or and Chibougamau in Quebec, Canada. The company strategically consolidated its ownership of this key project through a series of agreements. Initially, it entered into option agreements with Murgor Resources Inc., Cliffs Natural Resources Inc., and Noront Resources Inc. to acquire the property. A significant milestone was achieved in August 2013 when the company raised $12 million through a private placement, with major investments from Southern Arc Minerals and Dundee Corp. This financing enabled Eagle Hill to purchase Noront Resources' 25% interest in the project for $5 million and 25 million shares, thereby securing 100% ownership of the main Windfall Lake gold deposit and removing Noront's royalties and buy-back options. Further consolidation occurred in March 2014, when the company acquired adjacent claims from Murgor and Cliffs, giving it control over the entire 30,650-acre property.

The company's operational activities were concentrated on exploration and drilling programs to expand the mineral resource at Windfall Lake. By early 2014, the project had an indicated resource of 744,000 ounces of gold and an inferred resource of 731,000 ounces. The property featured a 1,450-metre underground ramp from previous exploration work, which facilitated further development. In June 2015, in a major corporate development, Eagle Hill Exploration was acquired by Oban Mining Corporation (now Osisko Mining) as part of a larger consolidation transaction that also included Ryan Gold Corp., Corona Gold Corporation, and Temex Resources. This merger created a well-capitalized entity focused on major exploration assets in Ontario and Quebec. The acquisition, finalized in August 2015, marked the conclusion of Eagle Hill's operations as an independent entity.
