Dub, operating under its legal name DASTA Incorporated, is a financial technology company that has positioned itself as the first regulated copy-trading platform in the United States. Founded in 2021 by Steven Wang, a Harvard dropout with a history of entrepreneurship, the New York-based firm aims to bridge the gap between retail investors and expert-driven investment strategies. Wang's journey includes founding and selling a VR company after leaving high school and a stint at Apple before conceiving Dub from his dorm room, inspired by the trend of narrative and personality-driven investing.

The company's core offering is a mobile application that allows users to replicate the investment portfolios of various individuals, including hedge fund managers, financial influencers, and even public figures, with a single tap. Dub generates revenue through a subscription-based model, charging a monthly fee of $9.99 or an annual fee of $89.99. Additionally, the company takes a 25% share of any management fees charged by high-performing portfolio creators on the platform. This structure incentivizes experienced investors to share their strategies, creating a marketplace dynamic. The company has secured significant financial backing, announcing a $17 million seed round in February 2024, led by Tusk Venture Partners, and a $30 million Series A round in May 2025, co-led by Notable Capital and Neo. This brings its total funding to $47 million, with investors including prominent figures like the CEO of Uber and a co-founder of Robinhood.
