Dotmatics is a cloud-based R&D software company founded in 2005 in the United Kingdom and currently headquartered in Boston. It has since grown into a global provider of scientific informatics solutions with offices across Europe, Asia, and the U.S.

The company delivers an integrated software platform that supports data management and workflow automation for life sciences, chemistry, biology, and materials research. Its suite includes widely used applications such as GraphPad Prism, SnapGene, Geneious, and Luma, a low-code platform for multimodal drug discovery. Dotmatics enables over two million scientists across more than 10,000 organizations to capture, analyze, visualize, and share experimental data with greater efficiency and reproducibility.

Its platform automates critical research functions, including laboratory instrument data ingestion, electronic lab notebooks, assay analysis, and dashboard reporting. Dotmatics excels in harmonizing diverse scientific data into a unified environment, improving collaboration, reducing manual work, and accelerating the discovery process.

In April 2025, Dotmatics was acquired by Siemens for $5.1 billion and integrated into Siemens' Digital Industries Software division. This acquisition extended Siemens' AI-driven product lifecycle capabilities into the life sciences sector. Dotmatics reported an estimated $300 million in revenue for the 2025 fiscal year, with adjusted EBITDA margins exceeding 40 percent.
