About Display

Display, formerly known as Tsū, operated as a social networking service with a stated mission to empower content creators by sharing a portion of its advertising revenue with them. The company was founded by John Acunto, Scot Weisberg, Sean Cross, and David Kerzner. It originally launched as Tsū in 2013 and underwent a rebranding to Display in April 2021. The platform's core business model was centered around a "Social That Pays" concept, where it would distribute 50% of the ad revenue generated from a user's content back to that user. This model was designed to attract and reward creators for their contributions to the platform.

The platform's history is marked by several relaunches and strategic shifts. After initially closing in August 2016, Tsū announced a planned relaunch in September 2019 and became active again in 2020. The official launch under the new brand, Display, occurred in May 2021. Functionally, Display provided features common to other social media services, including an activity feed, live streaming capabilities, private and public communities, and an in-app analytics console to track content performance. It also introduced "display TV," a built-in channel with live and pre-recorded shows to promote user content. The business targeted a broad audience of content creators, from artists and athletes to everyday users, aiming to provide them with monetization opportunities.

Despite its premise of revenue sharing, the company ceased operations permanently. A notice on its website indicates that access to the Display platform was discontinued on June 18, 2025. Prior to shutting down, the platform had been acquired by Hilco Streambank on July 9, 2024.
