About Diameter Pay
Diameter Pay is a Jersey City fintech (formerly SendFriend) building compliance-first infrastructure so banks, fintechs and digital-asset exchanges can access U.S. dollar accounts and payment rails through a single API. Founded by CEO David Lighton (MIT / World Bank background), the platform supports virtual accounts, domestic and international payments, stablecoin on- and off-ramps, and embedded compliance across multiple U.S. banking partners; press says Diameter processed more than $10 billion year-to-date in 2026. The company rebranded from SendFriend in 2023 after pivoting from consumer remittances to B2B payments-as-a-service, and earlier acquired DigiPli to deepen regtech automation. In September 2026 Diameter Pay raised a $10 million Series A co-led by CMT Digital and Lightspeed Faction, with SixThirty Ventures, Stellar Development Foundation, Tech Council Ventures, Onigiri Capital and BitRock Capital, to expand banking and payment capabilities and deepen stablecoin, FX and compliance infrastructure.
