In 1985, a company named Delta Data was founded in Columbus, Georgia. For decades, it operated quietly, building critical back-end software for the mutual fund industry. The company focused on creating solutions for fund distributors, asset managers, and transfer agents to process transactions, manage data, and navigate complex regulations. A key figure in its long history is Burton Keller, who served as an Executive Vice President and later as Director Emeritus. Under his guidance, the firm established itself as a trusted name, handling trillions of dollars in assets for major U.S. banks, retirement recordkeepers, and asset managers. After nearly thirty years of steady operation, the company took its first institutional investment in 2014, a strategic growth equity partnership with Accel-KKR, to accelerate growth and expand its product portfolio. This set the stage for a more significant event. In May 2025, Delta Data was acquired by BetaNXT, a wealth management technology provider backed by Clearlake Capital Group and Motive Partners. The acquisition aimed to integrate Delta Data's specialized fund processing solutions into BetaNXT's broader platform, enhancing capabilities for a wider range of clients in the wealth management industry.
