Defigo, founded in Oslo, Norway in 2017 by Joachim Stray and Kristoffer Kirkevold, is a PropTech company specializing in digital access control. Defigo's core offering is a cloud-based platform that replaces traditional keys with a mobile-first solution. The system features a durable, touchscreen video intercom panel installed at building entrances. This hardware includes a camera, speaker, microphone, and an RFID reader for key fobs or access cards. Visitors can use the touchscreen to initiate a video call to a tenant's smartphone, and the tenant can grant access remotely through the Defigo app. For administrators, the Defigo Webadmin portal allows for centralized management of access permissions across an entire property portfolio, streamlining the process of granting or revoking access. The system is designed for quick installation, integrates with existing property infrastructure, and supports over-the-air updates for new features and security enhancements. Recently, the company expanded its product line with the Smart Reader, extending keyless access to interior doors within a building.
