D.notitia is a South Korean artificial intelligence infrastructure startup founded in 2023 by CEO Jeong Mugyeong, CTO Yang Sehyeon, and CAIO Lee Seung-jae. The company develops solutions to address memory bottlenecks in large language models (LLMs) and enable the processing of large-scale, complex data.

The core of D.notitia's technology is a hardware and software integration approach. It has developed a proprietary Vector Data Processing Unit (VDPU), a semiconductor designed to accelerate vector database operations. This hardware is complemented by its software solution, a high-performance vector database named 'SEAHORSE'. Together, the VDPU and SEAHORSE work to implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, which enhance the capabilities of generative AI by allowing it to access external knowledge bases. This addresses a key limitation in traditional LLMs, which struggle to retain long-term context.

In addition to its core database solutions, D.notitia has developed its own LLM foundation model called 'DNA' and an associated edge device named 'MNEMOS' to deliver personalized AI experiences. The company operates on a fabless model, generating revenue from its AI software ahead of the full commercialization of its VDPU hardware, which is anticipated in early 2027. Since its founding, D.notitia has secured significant funding, including a pre-Series A round, to fuel its growth and development. The company has selected joint lead underwriters for a future Initial Public Offering (IPO).
