CyberRidge
Photonic encryption rendering data unrecordable for optical networks
About CyberRidge
Founded in 2021 by Professor Dan Sadot, CyberRidge is a deep-tech cybersecurity company that emerged from stealth in 2025 with $26 million in total funding. The company is headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel, with a presence in Switzerland and the U.S. Sadot, a world leader in optical communications with over 35 patents, leveraged decades of academic research and intelligence experience to address the threat of "harvest now, decrypt later" attacks, where encrypted data is stolen and stored until quantum computers can break it.
CyberRidge has developed a hardware-based, plug-and-play photonic transmission system that integrates into existing fiber optic infrastructure. Instead of relying on mathematical algorithms, the technology manipulates light at the physical layer, converting data into encrypted optical noise. This makes the data unrecordable and immune to interception, as it can only be recomposed in real-time with a proprietary, constantly changing photonic key. If the signal is not received with the key at the precise moment, the data is irreversibly lost. This approach is designed to be a quantum-resistant solution, complementing existing methods like Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and Quantum Key Distribution (QKD).
The company's business model includes direct hardware sales, leasing, and a subscription-as-a-service offering. CyberRidge targets clients in telecommunications, defense, intelligence, finance, and hyperscale cloud providers. Early deployments and tests are underway with telecommunications providers, defense organizations, and intelligence agencies in Europe, Singapore, Australia, and Israel.
