Cybera
Cybera provides simplified secure application networks to help companies achieve their business goals.
About Cybera
Founded in 2001 by Cliff Duffey, Cybera, Inc. carved out a niche by providing secure virtual application networks tailored for distributed enterprises. The company's core offering, the Cybera ONE platform, was developed to address the escalating complexity and cost that multi-site businesses, particularly in the retail and petroleum sectors, face in managing payment networks and other sensitive applications. This platform integrates cloud and on-premise security technologies into a unified, managed service, effectively creating a simplified and secure operational environment for its clients.
In December 2020, Cybera was acquired by PDI Technologies, a global provider of enterprise management software for the convenience retail and petroleum wholesale industries. This strategic acquisition was aimed at complementing PDI's cloud product strategy and addressing the growing importance of security as retailers undergo digital transformation and deploy more in-store applications and edge devices. Andrew Lev, who was appointed CEO of Cybera in 2015, brought extensive experience in security technology to the firm and continued to lead it into the PDI acquisition.
As a PDI company, Cybera now operates within PDI Security Solutions. The business model is centered on providing a fully managed, cloud-based network security solution as a service. This targets convenience retailers, quick-service restaurants (QSRs), and other multi-site operators. The firm's revenue is generated through subscriptions to its managed security services. Cybera's solutions are designed to securely connect all business locations to the cloud, enabling clients to scale efficiently, reduce operational complexity, and ensure compliance across all applications and devices. Key services include a robust network security platform featuring SD-WAN edge solutions, endpoint protection, and 24/7 managed support, which helps protect critical data and assets for over 1,500 customers at more than 200,000 locations worldwide.
