Creators Media was a digital media network founded in 2016 by Ben Kubota, Jon Handschin, and Tobi Bauckhage, with its headquarters in Los Angeles, United States. The company operated an open platform where users could generate and submit content centered around pop culture. This content was then curated and distributed across the company's digital brands, including MoviePilot, an entertainment magazine; NowLoading, which focused on entertainment news; Champions, for MMA and UFC news; and SuperNews, a video vertical for social media content.
The company's primary brand, Moviepilot, had a German-language portal (moviepilot.de) that was sold to Webedia in December 2017. This move was intended to allow the team to focus on its US market expansion with Moviepilot.com. By October 2017, Creators Media claimed to have 50,000 content creators on its platform, attracting over 32 million unique monthly visitors. Despite its initial growth and a funding round from institutional investor DTCP, Creators Media is now considered a deadpooled company.
