About Coherent Technology

Coherent Technology (相干科技, registered as Coherent (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd., also known as xoherence) is a Beijing-based quantum computing company focused on superconducting quantum computers. It was incubated from the Beijing Academy of Quantum Information Sciences and offers solutions and services for building and running quantum computers, built on the academy's research in superconducting quantum computing.

Its products cover the full hardware and software stack: quantum computing chip design and packaging, cryogenic quantum measurement and control wiring, room-temperature measurement and control electronics, including RFSoC-based microwave generation and acquisition, high-density low-temperature control wiring solutions, and quantum measurement and control software. On top of these it integrates complete superconducting quantum computers and develops a quantum cloud computing platform, with the aim of lowering the cost of both quantum machines and quantum computing power.

The company describes its path as measurement and control first, then complete machines, then cloud computing power and an application ecosystem. Its measurement and control products are already commercialised and sold to research institutions and quantum computing companies in China and abroad, forming the first growth line, while whole-machine development and computing-power services for application enterprises are advancing as the next two. Target application areas include drug discovery, financial portfolio optimisation and transport and logistics scheduling, where quantum machines are expected to work as co-processors alongside existing computing infrastructure.

Coherent Technology sells quantum control equipment, chips and systems to research and industry customers, plans to add quantum cloud compute services and a software ecosystem, and competes with quantum hardware and control vendors by offering a full-stack domestic route from control electronics to cloud access.
