About Cobak

Cobak is a South Korean application-based cryptocurrency platform that functions as a community hub and investment information service. Launched in 2018, the platform provides real-time crypto news, project updates, and market data to a user base of over 500,000 in Korea. The core of the ecosystem is a dual-token system designed to incentivize user participation and manage the platform's economy.

The platform utilizes two main tokens: Cobak Token (CBK), an ERC-20 utility and governance token, and the CC token, which serves as an internal reward point. Users earn CC tokens for contributing content and participating in community activities like quizzes. These CC tokens can be staked alongside CBK tokens for rewards, used to issue new CC tokens with CBK as collateral, or exchanged for CBK. The CBK token itself is used for staking, accessing premium features, and participating in governance decisions, such as voting on new project listings. This dual-token structure aims to provide liquidity, stabilize the token economy, and reward active users.

Cobak's business model integrates community engagement with financial services. Revenue is generated through internal payments for premium services and promotional tools within the app. The platform also serves as a launchpad for ICOs, having successfully supported 38 projects. Its wallet supports both the Ethereum and Polygon networks and can be integrated with MetaMask and WalletConnect. Looking ahead, Cobak plans to expand globally and launch Cobak Finance, a service focused on decentralized exchange (DEX) and token sale (IDO) information.
