The company was founded in 2013 by CEO Li Xue, a pet owner whose personal experiences with the underdeveloped state of veterinary services in the country, combined with her family's background in the human medical field, motivated her to establish a higher standard of care for pets. The first hospital, a large-scale facility for its time, was launched in Beijing's Chaoyang district in December 2013. Leveraging Li Xue's prior experience in the internet industry, the company focused on understanding client needs and optimizing operations, which led to rapid growth and brand recognition. By 2017, ChongAi International began its expansion, establishing a chain of hospitals across Beijing and later extending its footprint to other major cities including Hangzhou, Shenyang, and Chongqing.
