Chazm, operated by Design&Practice, is a platform for managing the entire lifecycle of leased and rented vehicles, covering initial contracts, operations, returns, and resale. The company aims to address the information asymmetry and complexity in the automotive lease and rental market by systematically tracking vehicle histories and setting reliability standards. This allows customers to make decisions based on transparent and predictable criteria. Chazm reduces the burden on consumers by minimizing complex intermediate distribution processes and mediating direct transactions with financial companies.

The company was founded by CEO Sangyeon Jung. It originated as an in-house venture called 'Pinda Auto' within the fintech company Pinda in 2022. In May of the following year, it was spun off and rebranded as Chazm. The name 'Chazm' signifies the company's goal to resolve the 'chasm', or temporary demand stagnation, in the automotive market through distribution innovation.

By January 2026, Chazm had raised a total of $13 million (19 billion KRW). A significant Series A funding round of $10.3 million (15.1 billion KRW) was led by Stonebridge and included participation from KB Investment, Futureplay, Zero1NE Ventures (Hyundai Motor Group's venture arm), LX Ventures, and the Abu Dhabi-based investor Shorooq HQ. The company plans to use these funds to launch a global distribution and export business for returned lease and rental vehicles, initially targeting markets in Japan and the Middle East.
