CellScape™ by Canopy Biosciences, a Bruker company, offers an end-to-end solution for highly multiplexed spatial omics and single-cell analysis. The platform is engineered for researchers in immunology, neuroscience, and infectious disease, providing advanced tools for biological discovery, therapeutic development, and precision medicine. The business operates by selling the CellScape instrument and offering its technology as a service to universities, research institutions, and pharmaceutical companies worldwide.

The core of the offering is the ChipCytometry™ technology, which facilitates quantitative in situ spatial phenotyping. This technology allows for the detection of a virtually unlimited number of protein biomarkers on a single tissue or cell suspension sample with single-cell resolution. A key feature is its high dynamic range (HDR) imaging, which enables the accurate quantification of both high- and low-expressing protein targets simultaneously. The system is designed for walk-away automation, featuring integrated microfluidics, a four-sample holder for continuous data acquisition, and an iterative staining, imaging, and signal removal workflow that enables hands-free operation. This design significantly increases throughput, allowing for the analysis of up to eight samples in 24 hours with the optional FalconFAST™ mode.

CellScape is compatible with standard, commercially available fluorescently labeled antibodies, eliminating the need for proprietary antibody conjugation and simplifying assay design. Its proprietary ZellSafe™ Chips preserve samples, allowing them to be interrogated and re-interrogated for up to two years. In 2024, the company launched the CellScape™ Whole-Slide Imaging Chamber, which converts any standard microscope slide into a microfluidic chamber, featuring a large imaging area and reducing reagent costs. The platform generates standard image file outputs compatible with third-party analysis software, and a partnership with Enable Medicine provides users with advanced spatial analysis pipelines and cloud-based data processing.

There appears to be a different, defunct company also named CellScape Corporation. Founded in 2008 by Bhairavi Parikh, James Stone, and Karen Drexler, and formerly known as Saryna Medical Corp, this entity focused on developing non-invasive prenatal genetic tests using whole fetal cell technology. It raised $20.2 million over four funding rounds before it ceased operations in September 2014.
