About Causa Prima

Causa Prima is a Madrid- and Munich-based fintech building a shared agent-to-agent network where AI agents for buyers and suppliers automatically handle invoices, disputes, reconciliation and payment-term negotiations. Co-founded by Maex Ament (previously co-founded Taulia, acquired by SAP), Henrik Gebbing (co-founder of crypto custodian Finoa) and Philip Stanislaus (formerly Oak Security), the platform connects both sides of B2B transactions so agents can settle discrepancies in seconds and scale early-payment discounts that manual AP/AR workflows often miss. More than 3,000 active users were already on the network at launch funding. In June 2026 Causa Prima raised a $10 million (~€8.5 million) pre-seed led by Creandum, with K Fund, HelloWorld and angels from Qonto, Pennylane, SAP, ING, SoFi, Lidl and DeepMind, to expand engineering and product teams in Munich and Madrid.
