About casavi

casavi GmbH is a Munich-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) company operating in the property technology (PropTech) sector. Founded in 2015 by Peter Schindlmeier (CEO), Oliver Stamm (COO), and David Klötzer, the company was born from the founders' own frustrations with the slow, analog nature of property management. Schindlmeier had a background in pre-sales for a SaaS company, Stamm in project management consulting, and Klötzer was a developer for a startup in the energy sector. This combined expertise was applied to develop a digital platform for the real estate industry.

The company's core offering is a cloud-based platform that connects property managers, housing companies, owners, tenants, and service providers to digitize and streamline communication and administrative processes. Key features include a white-label customer portal and mobile app, a ticketing system for managing service requests, digital document management, and a supplier management platform called 'Relay'. The system aims to automate repetitive tasks, reduce phone inquiries, and provide transparency for all stakeholders. casavi operates on a B2B SaaS business model, where property management companies pay a monthly fee to use the platform, which is customized with their own branding.

casavi serves a range of customers from small property managers to large asset management firms, primarily within the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland). As of late 2021, the platform was used by around 1,000 clients to manage more than 1.6 million residential units across 70,000 buildings. The company has steadily grown, securing its first seed funding in 2016 from High-Tech Gründerfonds and Bayern Kapital. This was followed by a seven-digit revenue-based financing investment in early 2021 and a significant €20 million Series B round in December 2021, led by digital+ Partners. The firm has offices in Munich, Frankfurt, and Berlin and has stated intentions to use its funding for product development and European expansion, including integrating solutions for the EU Energy Efficiency Directive (EED).
