Capcom Group
A company specialising in the deployment, installation, maintenance and sale of fibre optic and cable network services
About Capcom Group
In 2001, two entrepreneurs, Rachid Abdi and Angel Sandoval, founded Capcom Groupe in France. This wasn't the famous video game company, but a firm focused on a different kind of pipeline: the physical infrastructure for telecommunications. Their business was built on deploying, installing, and maintaining high-speed and fiber optic networks for major telecom operators. The company developed a unique dual approach. Not only did they handle the technical, behind-the-scenes work of network installation, but they also commercialized the operators' services, effectively creating a 'sale and connect' business model. This strategy proved effective, and by 2015, Capcom had attracted outside investment. Private equity firm Omnes Capital invested to help the company scale its ambitious growth plans. This partnership fueled rapid expansion, with the company signing major contracts with operators like Orange and doubling its sales in a single year to reach nearly €95 million by 2016. The company’s success drew the attention of a larger player in the consolidating telecom infrastructure market. In early 2017, the company reached its major liquidity event. Capcom Groupe was acquired by Circet, a leading French telecom infrastructure provider, in a deal that marked a significant consolidation in the sector. As part of the transaction, founders Abdi and Sandoval rolled over their success, taking a stake in the newly enlarged Circet group, ready to continue their journey within a new, larger structure.
