CampaignAgent is an Australian financial technology company that provides “Buy Now, Pay Later” solutions for the real estate market. The company was co-founded in 2015 by Shaun Moriarty (CEO) and Seth Watts (CRO), who conceived the idea during a ski trip. Moriarty, a finance professional, and Watts, a real estate printer, launched the platform in January 2017 to address the challenge of upfront vendor-paid advertising (VPA).

The company's core business revolves around financing the costs associated with selling a property, primarily marketing and advertising expenses. Its flagship product, VPAPay, allows property vendors to defer these costs until the settlement of their property sale. This model is designed to alleviate the financial pressure on sellers, enabling them to invest in more effective marketing campaigns to maximize their sale price. CampaignAgent's services are offered through real estate agencies, which integrate the platform into their existing systems. By doing so, agencies can free up their own working capital, as they no longer need to carry the costs of their clients' advertising campaigns.

CampaignAgent offers a suite of products catering to different needs within the real estate transaction process. Besides VPAPay for marketing, the company provides funding for property styling and staging. 'DepositNow' is another product that allows vendors to unlock equity from their current property to use as a deposit on their next purchase. For landlords and property managers, 'PMPay' facilitates payments for property management costs. The company's revenue is generated through a flat fee on its 'Pay Later' option, which is 6.9% with no penalty interest. Vendors can borrow up to $25,000 or 2% of the estimated sale price. Repayment is due upon settlement, early deposit release, withdrawal of the property from the market, or after six months, whichever comes first.

Since its launch, CampaignAgent has experienced significant growth, partnering with agencies that represent over 20% of Australia's residential property listings and assisting more than 85,000 vendors. In February 2021, REA Group made a strategic investment of $13.3 million in the company. By June 2023, CampaignAgent had processed over $1 billion in VPA transactions on its platform. The company also partners with social initiatives like Homes for Homes, allowing users to donate to help address homelessness in Australia.
