Cair™ is a consumer product developed by Nuwave Sensors, an Irish company specializing in smart air quality sensor technology. The product is the creation of Dr. Stephen Daniels, co-founder of NuWave Sensors. The company, which also serves industrial and commercial clients like healthcare facilities and cleanrooms, adapted its core technology to create solutions for monitoring indoor air quality in residential settings.

The Cair™ sensor is designed to continuously monitor airborne contaminants in a home. It operates without filters and connects to a home's Wi-Fi, allowing users to monitor their air quality remotely through a free companion app. The system is particularly aimed at individuals with asthma and allergies, as it learns to identify specific triggers such as animal dander, mold, dust, and other particles. When elevated levels of these contaminants are detected, the app sends personalized notifications and provides actionable recommendations to help mitigate potential health issues. The device is also integrated with Amazon Alexa.

The sensor is designed and manufactured in Ireland, utilizing the same technological components found in the advanced systems used by large microchip manufacturing companies.
