About BRAINR
BRAINR is a Leiria-based software company that develops a cloud-native manufacturing execution and operations management platform (MES/MOM) for food and beverage producers. It was founded in 2021 by Paulo Gaspar, Rui Batista and Ricardo Granada and launched commercially at the end of 2023. The platform replaces paper and spreadsheet-based processes with modules for production planning, shop-floor execution, warehouse and quality management, slaughter management and lot traceability. It integrates with ERP systems and processing equipment, and uses AI to support operational decisions. Its main market is meat and poultry processing, where the company reports handling more than a quarter of Portugal's meat production, with customers including AviSabor and Campoaves. In 2025 it closed a milestone-based seed round of up to €11 million led by C2 Capital Partners, followed by €1.5 million from Portugal Ventures in 2026.
