Headquartered in Seongnam, South Korea, with R&D centers in Vietnam and a sales office in Germany, BOS stands for "Best of Silicon". The company's business model combines its own fabless product development with custom Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) projects for external clients. This dual strategy has gained commercial traction, securing over $16.6 million in ASIC development contracts with partners of major Japanese automakers and engaging in co-development with European OEMs. The firm primarily targets clients in the automotive sector, including global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). BOS Semiconductors has raised a total of $76.1M, including a significant ~$60 million Series A round in February 2026, with investors such as Hyundai Motor Group, Kia, Korea Development Bank, and Smilegate Investment. BOS specializes in chiplet-based architecture, which allows for scalable and flexible system configurations. Its flagship products are the 'Eagle' family of SoCs. The 'Eagle-N' is a chiplet-based AI accelerator designed for Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI), and autonomous driving, offering performance of up to 250 TOPS. The 'Eagle-A' is an all-in-one AI SoC for ADAS. This modular approach enables support for various levels of vehicle autonomy, from Level 2 to Level 4. The company has also entered strategic partnerships, notably with Tenstorrent to license its AI Tensix core technology and co-develop an open chiplet ecosystem. Beyond automotive, BOS aims to expand into the broader 'Physical AI' market, including robotics and drones.
