CEO Saqib Islam previously led SpringWorks Therapeutics through a successful buyout by Merck KGaA in 2025. He is joined by other former SpringWorks members and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Nathalie Franchimont. The company's business model centers on advancing its portfolio of mechanistically-guided and highly-selective therapeutic candidates to address a broad array of immune-mediated conditions.
Beeline's pipeline includes three programs in clinical stages and two more advancing toward first-in-human studies. The lead program, afimetoran, is a potential best-in-disease, once-daily oral therapy for lupus that targets toll-like receptors 7 and 8 (TLR7 and TLR8) to address the underlying drivers of the disease. Afimetoran is expected to complete its Phase 2 trial in the second half of 2026, with plans for a pivotal development program to follow. Other pipeline assets include lomedeucitinib, an allosteric TYK2 inhibitor with proof-of-concept in psoriasis, and two IND-stage biologics targeting the IL-18 and IL-10 pathways for inflammatory conditions.
