Beeline Medicines is a clinical-stage biotechnology company that emerged from stealth in April 2026 with a focus on developing precision therapies for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. The company was established in July 2025 following a significant deal where it in-licensed five programs from Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS). This strategic acquisition was backed by a substantial $300 million Series A financing led by Bain Capital, which also played a key role in the company's formation. The leadership team is composed of seasoned executives with a strong track record in drug development and commercialization. CEO Saqib Islam previously led SpringWorks Therapeutics through a successful buyout by Merck KGaA in 2025. The lead program, afimetoran, is a potential best-in-disease, once-daily oral therapy for lupus that targets toll-like receptors 7 and 8 (TLR7 and TLR8) to address the underlying drivers of the disease. Afimetoran is expected to complete its Phase 2 trial in the second half of 2026, with plans for a pivotal development program to follow. Other pipeline assets include lomedeucitinib, an allosteric TYK2 inhibitor with proof-of-concept in psoriasis, and two IND-stage biologics targeting the IL-18 and IL-10 pathways for inflammatory conditions.
