Beeline Medicines is a clinical-stage biotechnology company that emerged from stealth in April 2026 with a focus on developing precision therapies for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. The company was established in July 2025 following a significant deal where it in-licensed five programs from Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS). This strategic acquisition was backed by a substantial $300 million Series A financing led by Bain Capital, which also played a key role in the company's formation.

The leadership team is composed of seasoned executives with a strong track record in drug development and commercialization. CEO Saqib Islam previously led SpringWorks Therapeutics through a successful buyout by Merck KGaA in 2025. He is joined by other former SpringWorks members and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Nathalie Franchimont. The company's business model centers on advancing its portfolio of mechanistically-guided and highly-selective therapeutic candidates to address a broad array of immune-mediated conditions.

Beeline's pipeline includes three programs in clinical stages and two more advancing toward first-in-human studies. The lead program, afimetoran, is a potential best-in-disease, once-daily oral therapy for lupus that targets toll-like receptors 7 and 8 (TLR7 and TLR8) to address the underlying drivers of the disease. Afimetoran is expected to complete its Phase 2 trial in the second half of 2026, with plans for a pivotal development program to follow. Other pipeline assets include lomedeucitinib, an allosteric TYK2 inhibitor with proof-of-concept in psoriasis, and two IND-stage biologics targeting the IL-18 and IL-10 pathways for inflammatory conditions.
