Their journey began during their college years, where involvement in a Formula Electric Racing club provided a foundational understanding of electric vehicle technology and the entrepreneurial skills needed to build a company from the ground up. This experience directly informed their mission to address the mobility challenges faced by gig workers.

Baaz Bikes targets delivery executives working for major platforms like Zomato, Zepto, and Amazon. The business model primarily operates on a subscription basis, where riders gain access to a purpose-built electric scooter and battery swapping services for a monthly fee of around INR 5,000. This model is designed to be asset-light for the company, which sells its in-house designed e-scooters to a network of rental partners who then lease them to the gig workers. Baaz is also exploring a "sell and subscribe" model, allowing workers to purchase the scooter and subscribe only to the energy services. Revenue is generated from these subscriptions and the initial sale of bikes to rental partners.

The company's core offering is an integrated platform comprising three main components: the Baaz e-scooter, the Baaz Swap network, and management software. The scooter is a robust, low-speed vehicle (top speed of 25 kmph) specifically designed for the rigors of daily delivery work, featuring a strong metallic frame and a design that prioritizes durability over aesthetics. By separating the cost of the battery from the scooter, Baaz offers the vehicle at a more accessible price point. The key to their service is the Baaz Swap network, a series of automated battery swapping stations placed in convenient locations like restaurants and local stores. These stations allow a rider to exchange a depleted battery for a fully charged one in under 90 seconds, effectively eliminating range anxiety and minimizing downtime. The swappable 'Energy Pods' are IP68 rated for safety and are managed within a thermally controlled environment at the swap stations to enhance battery life.
