Aviva is a Mexico City microlending fintech that originates small consumer and productive loans (roughly $100–$1,000) through AI-assisted video kiosks for informal workers and shopkeepers who lack traditional credit histories. Applicants complete a kiosk video interview, receive near-real-time underwriting decisions, and get funds deposited to their accounts, then manage repayments in the Aviva mobile app. Founded in 2022 by former Konfío employees and headquartered in Mexico City, Aviva reported in July 2026 that it operates in more than 300 small and mid-sized cities across 23 of Mexico's 32 states, with over 300,000 people having used its kiosks. That month it closed an $18 million Series A led by Valor Capital Group, with participation from BID Lab, Caravela Capital, Endeavor, ALIVE Ventures, and existing investors Wollef, Ignia, Krealo and Newtopia, to expand toward 1,000 locations, add loan products, and grow its technology team.
