Aventura Software, legally known as Aventura HQ, Inc., was a healthcare technology company established in 2007 and based in Denver, Colorado. The company was founded by Jon Cooper and was also known as ThinIdentity until October 2010. Positioned at the intersection of clinical medicine and information technology, Aventura focused on optimizing workflows for healthcare providers in demanding environments such as hospitals and outpatient facilities.

The firm's core offering was a sophisticated workflow optimization platform built on a patented process called "awareness computing". This technology was designed to be contextually aware of a clinician's identity, role, physical location within a facility, the specific device being used, and the patient being treated. Based on this awareness, the platform would instantly deliver a customized virtual desktop, provisioned with the precise applications and even the exact screens a clinician needed for a specific patient encounter. This significantly reduced manual data entry and navigation, aiming to save valuable time for doctors and nurses, thereby allowing them to focus more on patient care rather than interacting with computer systems.

Aventura's product suite included the Roaming Aware Desktop (RAD), which provided a secure, single sign-on experience for mobile clinicians, and the Patient Aware Dashboard (PAD), which synchronized with the hospital's electronic medical record (EMR) system to provide one-click access to the relevant patient's record. These solutions were compatible with both virtual and non-virtual desktop environments, addressing critical hospital initiatives related to EMR adoption, protected health information (PHI) security, clinician mobility, and overall cost containment. The company was led by CEO Howard Diamond and later by John Gobron, who served as President and CEO. Aventura successfully raised multiple rounds of venture capital, including a notable Series A of over $13 million led by HLM Venture Partners and Excel Venture Management, and a $14 million Series C financing. The company's trajectory culminated in its acquisition by Koninklijke Philips N.V. in April 2017, integrating its workflow automation and clinical information solutions into Philips' broader health technology portfolio.
