ATsens
Long-term, wearable ECG monitoring patch and software
About ATsens
ATsens is a South Korean medical device and healthcare platform company founded in 2017 by CEO Jeong Jon-gook. The company specializes in early diagnostic solutions for heart-related diseases through its bio-signal-based healthcare platform.
The company's core offering is the AT-Heart care system, which includes the AT-Patch, the AT-Note mobile application, and the AT-Report analysis software. The AT-Patch is a lightweight (13g), shower-proof (IP57), wearable electrocardiogram (ECG) monitor that can continuously record a patient's heart signals for up to 14 days without needing to be charged or having its battery replaced. This long-term monitoring capability is designed to improve the diagnosis rates of intermittent arrhythmias. The device is available in models for 7-day or 14-day use. Data from the patch is managed via the AT-Note app (available on Android and iOS), which can display a live ECG, and is then analyzed by the AT-Report software, which utilizes advanced algorithms to generate reports for medical professionals.
ATsens has achieved significant regulatory milestones, receiving approvals from Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS), the European Medicines Agency (EMA), the UK's Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), Japan's PMDA, and, notably, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance in October 2022. This makes its AT-Patch the first such South Korean device to be approved for the U.S. market. The company has secured at least $8.76 million in funding from investors including Sneak Peek Investment, Samho Green Investment, Vision Creator, and Hana Financial Group.
