Atoss Software
Offers workforce management solutions that enhance efficiency and employee satisfaction for businesses
About Atoss Software
In 1987, well before the dot-com boom, Andreas Obereder founded ATOSS Software in Munich with a vision to optimize how companies manage their most valuable asset: their people. The company started by developing software for workforce management, focusing on time and attendance, which was a complex, manual process for most businesses at the time. The turning point for ATOSS came in 2000 when the company went public on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. This IPO provided the capital needed for expansion and further development of its software suite. Throughout the following years, ATOSS consistently grew, establishing itself as a key player in the European market for workforce management solutions. A significant chapter in the company's journey was written in 2023 when the global growth equity firm, General Atlantic, acquired approximately 20% of the company's shares. This investment made General Atlantic the second-largest shareholder, while founder Andreas Obereder remained the largest shareholder and CEO. The partnership was aimed at accelerating international growth and expanding the company's cloud business. Today, ATOSS provides solutions that cover everything from time management and workforce scheduling to personnel requirement planning. Since 2015, its products have been available in the cloud, adapting to the modern needs of digitalization. With over 15,000 customers in more than 50 countries, the company continues to execute its long-term strategy, demonstrating a durable and focused approach to a fundamental business need.
