Arvind Internet Limited launched Creyate in 2014, a digital-native venture emerging from the well-established Indian textile conglomerate, Arvind Limited. This initiative was driven by Kulin Lalbhai, a fourth-generation member of the founding family, who serves as Vice Chairman of Arvind Limited. With a background that includes a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and experience as a management consultant at McKinsey & Co., Lalbhai has been pivotal in steering the group's digital and consumer-facing enterprises.

Creyate operates as an omni-channel luxury menswear brand, providing a bespoke clothing service that merges technology with traditional craftsmanship. The business model is centered on mass customization, allowing discerning customers to design their own apparel. This is facilitated through a proprietary 3D customization engine available online and in physical design studios. The company generates revenue by selling custom-made garments directly to consumers, targeting high-net-worth individuals and C-suite executives who value personalization.

The service offers an extensive range of customization options, allowing clients to select every detail from fabrics to styles and trims. Creyate provides access to premium fabrics from Arvind's own mills as well as renowned international mills like Ermenegildo Zegna, Scabal, and Caccioppoli. A key feature is the precision fitting process, which involves taking 19 scientific measurements and observing over 40 body parameters to create a garment tailored to the individual's unique physique. To enhance customer convenience, the brand offers a luxury concierge service, where Japanese-trained style stewards conduct home visits, bringing the boutique experience directly to the client's doorstep. Initially launched in Indian cities like Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Delhi, the brand had plans for global expansion, including the US market.
