Arena Physica (formerly known as Arena) is a New York-based deep tech company building what it calls Electromagnetic Superintelligence (EMSI) — a suite of AI-powered tools and engineering services designed to radically accelerate the design, development, and deployment of advanced hardware governed by electromagnetic physics. The company's thesis rests on the observation that modern hardware systems — from AI datacenters and fighter jets to next-generation vehicles and satellites — are increasingly defined not by mechanical constraints, but by electromagnetic ones: signal integrity, power delivery, RF architecture, and interference. Arena argues that existing engineering toolchains remain fragmented, expensive, and slow, and that no existing AI system is grounded in the physics needed to address this. Its core platform, Atlas, is an agentic AI hardware engineer that integrates across the full hardware lifecycle. Atlas ingests schematics, netlists, CAD files, BOM data, telemetry, and test data to help teams debug system failures, validate board designs, and autonomously optimize system performance. The platform connects with industry-standard tools including Ansys, Altium, Cadence, Keysight, and Siemens Teamcenter, and supports flexible deployment from managed cloud to on-premises and air-gapped environments. Atlas RF Studio, a dedicated RF design research tool, entered beta in early 2026. Alongside the platform, Arena Physica Labs offers a services arm led by senior RF and electrical engineering PhDs, delivering phased array development, SerDes design, silicon layout, and RF system test services — all powered by Atlas. The company also claims to be training the first Electromagnetic Foundation Model (EMFM), which targets an 18,000x speedup over legacy physics solvers. Customers and partners include AMD (AI compute), Anduril Industries (defense), and Sivers Semiconductors (5G/satellite). The company was publicly introduced in March 2026 after operating in stealth, with prior history under the Arena Technologies brand since 2019. Its leadership team includes former McKinsey, Palantir, AWS, and Columbia University alumni, with several holding PhDs in physics and electrical engineering. Target sectors include aerospace, automotive, defense, semiconductors, datacenters, and robotics.
