Aradigm
Benefits platform providing access to cell/gene therapies
About Aradigm
Aradigm Health is a public benefit corporation that has developed a benefits platform to make cell and gene therapies (CGTs) affordable and accessible. The company launched from stealth in December 2025. Its CEO and Co-Founder is Dr. William Shrank, a physician with leadership experience at Humana, UPMC, CVS Health, and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI).
Aradigm was founded to address the challenge of providing sustainable access to transformative but high-cost CGTs, with some treatments exceeding $3 million. The traditional healthcare payment and delivery systems are not structured for these one-time, curative therapies. Aradigm was established to create a new financial and delivery model that aligns the incentives of payers, providers, employers, and manufacturers.
The company operates on a cost-plus, transparent pricing model. It creates a large-scale risk pool to cover CGT drugs and related care, providing cost predictability and capping risk for self-insured employers and health plans. Any unspent funds from the premium pool are returned to the payer. For healthcare providers, Aradigm offers a national network of "centers of excellence" and ensures predictable reimbursement models to mitigate financial risk and reduce complexity. This model helps manufacturers by opening new avenues for access to their therapies. For patients, Aradigm provides personalized care coordination to help them navigate the complex treatment process.
The company secured a $5 million seed round led by Andreessen Horowitz in 2024, followed by a $20 million Series A round in December 2025, led by Frist Cressey Ventures with participation from Andreessen Horowitz and Morgan Health.
