Anzen is a San Francisco commercial insurance technology company founded in 2021 by CEO Max Bruner. Originally known for management liability insurance and HR operations tools for small businesses, Anzen has become an AI-powered distribution platform for commercial insurance, built by a team of practising wholesale brokers. Its proprietary Anzen AI powers Anzen Pro, an end-to-end AI workspace where retail agents and brokers can access Specialty, E&S and P&C markets: it turns unstructured submissions from PDFs and email threads into structured data, routes risks to the right markets, compares quotes, generates proposals and ACORD forms, and automates loss runs, renewals, back-office and compliance tasks while integrating with existing email workflows and agency management systems. Anzen orchestrates both direct carrier placements and wholesale distribution and reports millions in ARR, more than 5,000 retail agents served, thousands of submissions processed each month and hundreds of millions of dollars in quoted premium. On 13 November 2025 Anzen announced a $16 million Series A led by Madrona, with Sandbox Industries, SNR, Andreessen Horowitz and other investors, bringing total capital raised to $26 million, to deepen carrier and AMS integrations, add commercial property and auto, and publicly launch Anzen Pro.
