amber (amber.de; formerly AmberSearch / ambeRoad) is an Aachen enterprise AI company founded by Bastian Maiworm, Philipp Reißel and Igli Manaj. It builds a proprietary AI Data Layer that connects, structures and contextualises company knowledge across emails, documents, cloud apps and internal systems so generative AI can answer and automate with real business context. Used by manufacturing, engineering, IT consulting and consumer-goods customers including Scheidt & Bachmann, Ritter Sport, Zentis, Schüßler-Plan, Dalli and Hailo, with offices in Aachen, Cologne and Tirana. After a €2.1 million Ventech-led seed in March 2025, amber closed a €7 million Series A in August 2026 co-led by Ventech and NRW.Venture (NRW.BANK) to expand in Europe starting with Benelux, deepen enterprise integrations and move from assisted to more autonomous workplace AI.
