Starting in the 2010s, the company embarked on a strategy of acquiring smaller security firms, steadily increasing its footprint across the United States. This period was marked by key financial backing, including an acquisition by Great Hill Partners in 2005, followed by another from Summit Partners in 2010. The modern chapter of the company truly began in 2018. To unify its various acquired entities and reflect a broader offering of home automation and smart security, the company officially rebranded under a single name: Alert 360. This wasn't just a name change; it was a strategic consolidation. The most significant event in this new era was the 2021 merger with My Alarm Center. This move created a combined entity serving approximately 350,000 customers, making it one of the largest residential security providers in the nation.
