Agon is a London- and Berlin-based defence-tech company building sovereign synthetic combat arenas to train and harden AI-powered drones, missiles and uncrewed vehicles before real battlefield use. Co-founded by CEO Tristam Constant (13 years British Army; senior Europe roles at Anduril and Applied Intuition) and Junaid Hussain (co-founder of Cambridge Aerospace and Iconic), with Unity founder David Helgason as chair, Agon addresses the scarcity of classified, nation-specific training data that general-purpose labelling platforms cannot safely supply. Its specialised defence training layer lets European customers iterate autonomous systems on confidential data in secure environments rather than depending on foreign platforms. The team draws alumni from AWS, Google, Helsing and Palantir. In July 2026 Agon emerged from stealth with $30 million — a $7 million pre-seed (including 201 Ventures and D3) and a $23 million seed backed by Lakestar (Klaus Hommels joining the board), Lux Capital, Northzone and XYZ Venture Capital — to scale the platform for European defence-autonomy partners.
