Agilera Pharma AS operates as a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) within the cancer treatment sector, specializing in radiopharmaceuticals. The company was established in 2023 as a subsidiary of the Institute for Energy Technology (IFE) in Norway, spinning off IFE's radiopharmaceutical business which has roots dating back to 1952. This strategic move was the largest commercialization effort undertaken by the institute. In June 2025, PharmaLogic Holdings Corp., a U.S.-based CDMO, completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Agilera, a transaction aimed at creating a globally integrated radiopharmaceutical therapy platform.

The company's operations are structured into three main business areas. The first is its function as a CDMO, partnering with clients for the development of radiopharmaceuticals from early-phase clinical production onward. The second is as a Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO), handling commercial production and distribution, for which it holds permits from the Norwegian Medicines Agency and is GMP certified. Lastly, Agilera serves as the national wholesaler and distributor of radiopharmaceuticals within Norway, operating a central pharmacy and a logistics center for both national and global distribution. With a well-developed global distribution network, Agilera has supplied over 600,000 commercial therapeutic doses to more than 40 countries, serving major pharmaceutical companies.

Agilera provides a comprehensive suite of services that covers the entire value chain for developing new radiopharmaceuticals. This includes product, method, and process development, as well as tech transfer, validation, clinical and commercial production, logistics, and radiation protection. The firm is an approved manufacturer in key global markets, including the United States, Japan, Europe, Latin America, and China. The company is headquartered in Kjeller, Norway, and, as of early 2025, had 140 employees. Erik Flatmark serves as the CEO of Agilera.
